A Heartfelt Farewell and Warm Welcome
On July 16th, De Novo bid farewell to Susan Corcoran, our much-loved Volunteer and Training Coordinator, who is retiring after a fifty-year career in public interest.
Susan first came to De Novo as a volunteer attorney in 2006 and has been a vital member of our staff since 2016. During that time she has worn many hats, as a volunteer champion, thoughtful and collaborative colleague, creative thinker, generous mentor, technology pioneer and tireless supporter of our clients and mission. True to form, Susan will be staying on in her retirement as a volunteer attorney with De Novo’s family law program.
As Susan and her family prepare for her next adventure, we are very pleased to welcome Jason Fasano as De Novo’s next Volunteer and Communications Coordinator.
Jason joins us from Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) in Boston where he oversaw volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision for JVS’ immigrant and refugee workforce development programs across the Greater Boston area. He has also worked with the Syrian American Medical Society in Washington, D.C., where he recruited volunteer medical professionals for emergency response missions in the Middle East and South Asia.
Jason is a graduate of George Mason University with a dual degree in Global Affairs and Conflict Analysis & Resolution, and he speaks basic Arabic. He enjoys reading, spending time in nature, and cuddling his cat Poco.
