De Novo Launches New Monthly Family Law Clinic
In an effort to reach more community members in need of legal services, De Novo has launched a new monthly Family Law Clinic. The clinic provides vital support to pro se litigants in navigating the complexities of family law cases, with a focus on matters related to divorce and custody.
Established with financial support from the City of Somerville ARPA funds, the clinic aims to address the growing number of self-represented litigants in the Massachusetts Probate & Family Court, especially those who have experienced domestic violence or face language barriers.
All local community members regardless of income status are welcome to attend the clinic. Participants will have the opportunity to consult with a De Novo attorney about a number of family law issues, including divorce, custody, child support, parentage, and parenting time. Clients are asked to bring any helpful documentation with them to be reviewed in their consultation. Interpretation services are available for via in-person or phone translation services.
The walk-in clinic is being held at the Community Action Agency of Somerville (CAAS) offices at 66-70 Union Square in Somerville on the third Monday of each month from 4:30pm to 7:00pm. No appointment required.
